The world is powered by a *NIX machine, literally...ScreenShot!

As shown in this screenshot the world is monitored, protected, and ran by Linux. -Well at least in the new movie Surrogates, lol. Near the end of the movie when they are trying to stop/disable the uploaded virus and the admin there talks about typing something into a terminal; I grabbed a screenshot and sure enough, it was a *NIX machine, showing what looks like bash running in a few terminals one of them in /usr/local/ :D.

Scooter Crazy... Electric Scooter Ideas

Ok, so watching my most favorite new tv series "The Colony" they built a badass electric trike. This got me to thinking about a story I read in Wired a year or so ago of some guys who made an electric Sport Bike with amazing speeds from a few prius batteries and a mfg. frame. I've since got the crazy idea to either purchase or possibly even build an electric scooter. There are many of them out there comparable to anything from a 50cc all the way up to 125cc engines, some getting 180km per charge, and a couple that go nearly 70MPH!

code rush movie

Just released under creative commons last week. The Film Code Rush follows the people of Netscape Communications during
an intense period in 1998, when it was all but certain that Microsoft
had already won control of the Internet user's desktop. When all hope
seems fading, a group of dedicated developers work their hardest to
push out a very special release.........Mozillahttp://www.archive.org/details/CodeRush

Thought this was an interesting read.
