No Sound in UBUNTU 9.04Submitted by alsemus on Tue, 10/06/2009 - 10:58 |
Bill:
I followed your instructions exactly as posted and I have no sound.
I do have two (2) speakers in my task bar at the top of my Desktop.
a.) takes me to sound preferences. When the pointer is placed on the Icon it says Output: 100%
b.) takes me to a drop down. One selection is Preferences another is volume. When the pointer is placed on the Icon it says Master: 100%
I tried using Rythmbox Music Player -- no sound.
I loaded Amarok using Synaptic. -- couldn't figure out how to get it to play a cd!
I like Rythmbox because it has a radio.
I have gone back through your instructions a second time using Synaptic just to make sure everything was done still NO SOUND!
1.) Why do I have two speakers?
2.) What do I need to do to trouble shoot this?
Thanks for your help...................... Al
