ModernGeek.com is not primarily aimed at this of course but I thought I would let everyone know that this is where the Western Kentucky Linux and BSD Users Group will be hanging out- posting in the forums, planning meetings, etc.

If anyone feels like attending a meeting or has a topic that they would be interested in hearing about at the next meeting, /dev/null in the forum is a great place to bring it up. At this stage in early planning the meetings of the Western KY Linux & BSD Users Group will be held at Joe Muggs Coffee in Books A Million in Paducah, KY on the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm [CST for those of you traveling]. Meetings typically last an hour but sometimes drag out so stay as long as you like. Meetings include a few topics of discussion, shell tips [an idea inspired by our old group and a great friend Justin], and usually concludes with a round table about recent events, random discussions and misc. conversations.

I hope anyone who is within range to make it and feels like coming will post a comment in the forums and bring up an idea or two for something we can prepare for conversation/presentation. Welcome everyone to ModernGeek.com and I hope that you'll spread the word that the new site is up and what our mission is. Hope to see you in the forums- no matter where you live.
