Ok so the other night I was blabbering on about tinkering with an integrated OpenBSD installation on a piece of integrated hardware. Several of the common boards are still expensive and offer minimal power and few features, there have been a tremendous amount of new boards come out lately with newer feature rich, fast processors at nearly the same price. I've found this board here which is amazing:
Price as configured: € 115.12
PC Engines ALIX.2D3 board
500 MHz AMD Geode LX800 CPU
256 MB DDR DRAM
3 10/100MBit Ethernet ports
2 USB 2.0 ports
1 Console port
1 mini-PCI slots
1 Compact Flash slot
1 IDE header (p-ata)
This would make a badass little embedded router, :D
