Working with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

I have been heavily investing time in setting up two new Ubuntu 10.04 installs, one a server and the other on my primary notebook. The upgrade process via apt, failed most certainly. Time after time, it would not work. Finally after doing a bit of research there was a bug discovered when dual booting that affects certain configurations. Coincidentally I was in that scenario. I simply backed up the data from the second partition [an old win32 install] and then used the entire disk for the installation. After that it's been pretty decent apart from a few hardware problems on my end :D.
My old AMD Athlon 2.2Ghz server running a fresh install of 10.04 has been nothing but great so far. I'm currently using it to allow network access to a hard drive out of one of my machines. The drive it in EXT4 and requires a SATA connector which I cannot accommodate with my notebook. This allows me to access the content via ssh from anywhere on the LAN. Sure I could use SMB but the insecurity nearly makes me sick.
I've just got drupal, awstats, webmin, and all of the necessary packages to get this up and going. I'll be configuring DNS this evening and hopefully have everything locked down by the end of the week.
I'll have some more detailed information together throughout the week and I'll keep you posted. If anyone is having an issue, for just a good expereience with 10.04 share it here.
